The impact of our business on the natural environment is an increasingly important consideration for investors, tenants and other stakeholders.
Along with acquiring and developing new buildings with a strong green focus, we are leaders in repurposing existing buildings into green buildings. It’s more sustainable, and better for the environment, to reuse a building than to demolish it and build a new one in its place. The result is a double positive impact – one more green building and one less non-green building.
The transformation process from non-green to green building incorporates eco-friendly features like efficient air-conditioning, double-glazing, recycled and repurposed materials, rain gardens, smart-LED lighting with sensor controls, high performance facades, solar panels, EV charging amenities, and modern end of trip facilities that allow tenants to reduce their own carbon footprint.
For all our green developments we utilise third party verification, wherever possible, to validate a building’s energy efficiency performance and environmental impact.
Throughout the retrofit process we work closely with our tenants to meet their productivity and sustainability objectives as well. Green buildings deliver a better quality tenant experience, helping them reduce their operating costs, deliver more productive environments for their people, reduce absenteeism, increase productivity and to deliver on their sustainability targets.
